The Eastern Province of Rwanda, bordering Tanzania to the east, is characterized by diverse geography, including hills, plains, and lakes like Muhazi and Rwanyakizinga. The region plays a crucial role in Rwanda's agricultural sector. The area's natural beauty and cultural significance contribute to the country's biodiversity and economic activities.

This coffee is sourced from 14 farmers around the Humure Washing Station in Remera Hills, Eastern Province: Edouard Ntaganda, Nahason Rukara, Boniface Ahorukomeye, Gaspard Bazatsinda, Emmanuel Benda, Claver Bihoyiki, Julia Cyurinyana, Damascene Gakwandi, Damien Sibaniro, Gilbert Sindayigaya, Manase Twahirwa, Samuel Barigira, Claver Bihoyiki, Bibiane Candari. Humure station is unusual in Rwanda as it is managed entirely by women. The station provides safety equipment such as masks and gloves for farmers to use while applying certain chemicals. Humure also supports farmers with small, year-long loans to help with the costs of production and other expenditures such as medical bills or school fees. The station grows seedlings and distributes them to farmers to help them renew aging rootstock. They provide trainings on hygiene and sanitation and help farmers gain access to clean water.
