Notes From The Roaster

In the Central Highlands of Chiapas, over 150 smallholder coffee growers from the indigenous Mayan Tzeltal community independently cultivate and process their coffee beans, which are submitted to a cooperative for quality assessment and export. These producers adhere to organic farming practices, maintaining the cooperative's USDA Organic certification. The Tzeltal community values interconnectedness and growth, symbolized by the word "Kulaktik," meaning "vine" in their native language.
